How it works
Works with most text-based PDF statements (checking, savings and credit card). Scanned paper statements are not supported yet.
Drop your PDFs
Add one statement or several months at once. They are read locally with an open-source PDF engine bundled into this page.
Review & fix
We rebuild the transaction table (date, description, amount, balance), then re-add every row against the running balance and flag anything that doesn't reconcile. Click any cell to correct it.
Export
Download one merged CSV or Excel file with Date, Description, Amount, Debit, Credit, Balance and Source File columns — ready for QuickBooks, Xero or a spreadsheet.
Privacy you can verify
Bank statements contain your account numbers, income and spending. Most online converters upload them to a server. StatementLocal doesn't.
What happens to your file
- Your PDF is opened with JavaScript inside this browser tab. It is never sent to us or anyone else.
- The page's Content-Security-Policy only allows network requests back to this site (
connect-src 'self'), and the converter itself makes none. - Test it yourself: load this page, turn off Wi-Fi or enable airplane mode, then convert a statement. It still works.
- No AI models are used. Parsing is deterministic code — the same PDF always gives the same result.
- We use no analytics, ad trackers or cookies. Only your plan status and the daily free-file counter are kept in your browser's local storage.

FAQ
Is my bank statement uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is read and converted entirely in your browser. You can confirm it by going offline after the page loads — conversion keeps working. The only server calls this site makes are for checkout and unlocking Pro, and they never include your statement.
Which banks are supported?
It works with most text-based PDF statements — the kind you download from online banking — including layouts with separate withdrawal/deposit columns, a single signed amount column, CR/DR markers, parentheses for negatives, and statements with or without a running balance. We don't list specific banks because layouts change; try the free conversion on your own statement and check the balance-check result.
What does the balance check do?
When a statement prints a running balance, we recompute it row by row (previous balance + amount) and flag any row that doesn't match — usually a sign that a transaction was missed or misread. When there's no running balance, we check that opening balance + all transactions = closing balance.
Does it work with scanned statements?
Not yet. Version 1 needs a PDF with selectable text. If you can't highlight text in your PDF viewer, it's a scanned image and we'll tell you so.
Do you use AI?
No. There's no AI or machine-learning model involved. Parsing uses deterministic rules on the text positions inside the PDF, all running locally.
Can I import the file into QuickBooks or Xero?
Yes — export CSV, which both accept via bank-transaction CSV import (map Date, Description and Amount). Native QBO/OFX export is on the roadmap.
How do I cancel or get a refund?
Subscriptions can be cancelled anytime from the “Manage billing” link (or the Creem link in your receipt); you keep Pro until the end of the paid period. Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase — see the Refund Policy.
Is there a daily limit on the free plan?
Free converts one PDF per day per browser. Pro and the 30-Day Pass are unlimited and add batch conversion of many PDFs into one merged file.
