StatementLocal ("we", "us") provides a bank statement converter that runs in your web browser. This policy explains what data we handle.

1. Your statements stay on your device

PDF files you convert are opened and processed locally by JavaScript in your browser. They are not uploaded to our servers or to any third party, and we cannot see their contents. Converted CSV/Excel files are generated locally and saved directly to your device.

2. No AI processing

We do not use artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models to process your documents. Conversion is performed by deterministic parsing code in your browser.

3. Data stored in your browser

We store in your browser's local storage: (a) a counter of free conversions used today, and (b) if you purchase, a signed access token containing your plan, its expiry date and the Creem checkout, customer and subscription identifiers. You can clear this at any time via your browser settings.

4. Payments

Purchases are processed by Creem, our Merchant of Record. Creem collects your name, email, billing address and payment details under its own privacy policy. When you return from checkout, our server asks Creem to confirm the payment using the checkout identifier, and receives order, customer and subscription details needed to unlock your plan. We do not receive or store your full card details.

5. Server logs

Our site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any website, Cloudflare may process technical data such as IP address and request logs to deliver and protect the service. We do not use analytics, advertising trackers or cookies.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with Creem (payments) and Cloudflare (hosting) as described above, or when required by law.

7. Retention

Payment records are retained by Creem as required for tax and accounting. Our server keeps only minimal webhook records (event type and identifiers) for up to 13 months to handle refunds and disputes.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. Because statement data never reaches us, these requests relate only to payment data; email us at Cris.R.Y7@outlook.com.

We may update this policy and will change the "Last updated" date above.
